  • Governor Updates Executive Order for Activities

    Governor Burgum issued a revision to the Executive Order that suspended activities until December 14, 2020. The revised executive order now allows for practices to resume on November 30, 2020, and competitions to resume on December 14, 2020.

  • It's More than a Meal Application

    West Fargo Public Schools participates in United States Department of Agriculture meal programs to provide breakfast and lunch to students. Federal funding is received for meals served to students based on eligibility levels. To determine eligibility, a free/reduced meal application must be completed each year by families who may qualify.

  • Weekly Risk Level Status Check: Week of November 16

    The district’s executive leadership team, School Board President, and lead school nurse continue to meet weekly with representatives from Fargo Cass Public Health and Essentia Health to discuss COVID-19 data and trends specific to Cass County. This information will be used to make any warranted adjustments to the district’s learning model and safety protocols.

  • Activities Suspended through December 14

    On Friday, November 13, Governor Burgum issued an executive order that suspended all high school winter sports; all association, community, and club sports for youth and adults; and all other extra-curricular K-12 school activities, competitions, and non-school related activities until December 14, 2020. This action was taken in response to the increase in COVID-19 cases and the need for new standards to slow and mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in our state.

    While COVID-19 has catapulted education into a new virtual space with multiple challenges for our educators, families, and students, West Fargo Public Schools has not lost sight of the importance of the social, emotional, and mental wellbeing of our community.
