4-6 Grade 2023 Mustang Preview Camp

Purpose:

Mustang Preview is designed to teach proper exercise form, speed, agility and improve overall fitness while having FUN! Workouts follow the National Strength and Conditioning Association resistance training guidelines for youth, and the American Academy of Pediatrics resistance training guidelines for children and adolescents.

Sessions and times: Grade fall 2023
Boys and Girls going into 4th Grade 9:00 - 10:15am (75 min)
Boys and Girls going into 5th Grade 9:00 - 10:20am (80 min)
Girls going into 6th grade 8:30-10:00am (90 min)
Boys going into 6th grade 9:10-10:40am (90 min)

May/June workout days: 5 weeks mon-thur
(30, 31, 1) (5, 6, 7, 8) (12 13, 14, 15) (19, 20, 21, 22) (26, 27, 28, 29)
July workout days: 3 weeks mon-thur
(10, 11, 12, 13) (17, 18, 19, 20) (24, 25, 26, 27)

Camp fee:
$175 for 31 workouts

Monday - Thursday

4th & 5th grade workout sample:
Athletes will meet at the Sheyenne HS track everyday
10 min Dynamic warm-up and mobility training
20 min Learn & perform speed, agility, footwork, and cardio conditioning exercises
20 min Learn & perform body weight upper and lower body exercises
10 min Core/abdominal exercises
15 min Fun activity, game or competition

6th grade workout sample:
Athletes will meet at the Sheyenne HS track everyday
10 min Dynamic warm-up and mobility training
30 min Learn and perform speed, agility, footwork, and cardio conditioning exercises
30 min Learn & perform DB, BB and machine exercises in the LMS weight room
5 min Core/abdominal exercises
15 min Fun activity, game or competition

Sheyenne HS and Liberty MS Athletic Fields and Fitness Rooms
