2nd Place at State and 2nd Place at NSDA Qualifier
The 2021 Congressional Debate season finished in a fantastic way. With a team of underclassmen, the second year Horace program was able to place 2nd out of 18 teams. They had three state champions. Jayla Ridout (7th Grade) was presiding officer in House 6, Jordan Graves (9th Grade) was the champion in House 3, and Nadir Mohamed (10th Grade) was the champion in the top chamber in the state, Senate. These are the first three state champions for any activity in the history of the school.

National Qualifier
Horace had a stellar performance at the District NSDA Qualifier, placing second behind Sheyenne by one point. Nadir Mohamed won the Senate, qualifying to nationals for congressional debate. Vinny Halverson placed third in the House, qualifying to nationals for congressional debate. They now move on to compete in Louisville, Kentucky, for the national tournament in June.
