Sheyenne FCCLA Members Go "Beyond Measure" at State Leadership Meeting
West Fargo, ND – (April 20, 2021) – Sheyenne High School’s FCCLA chapter attended the State FCCLA Leadership Meeting in Bismarck on April 11 – 12. The theme for this year’s conference was “Beyond Measure,” and students attended workshops on the topics of community service, careers, interview skills, making conversation, organizing engaging meetings, and sustainable fashion. Patrick Kasper was the keynote speaker, sharing his Positive Motion message with attendees.
Olivia Schempp was elected State Vice President of Public Relations. She will also be the acting District 6 President through the upcoming fall.
Due to COVID-19, competitive events occurred virtually, with four Sheyenne High members participating in the competitions. Ben Kramer received a gold medal for the consumer math test, Marolyne Kpadeh received a bonze medal for the nutrition test, Olivia Schempp received a silver medal for the Toys that Teach Skills event and a bronze medal for the Teaching with Technology Skills event.
