Weekly Risk Level Status Check: Week of October 12
The district’s executive leadership team, School Board President, and lead school nurse are meeting weekly with representatives from Fargo Cass Public Health and Essentia Health to discuss COVID-19 data and trends specific to Cass County. This information will be used to make any warranted adjustments to the district’s learning model and safety protocols.
The following information was provided in the October 13 session:
Data from FCPH
14-Day Rolling Average of New Cases = 96.64/day in Cass County; 482.93/day across the state.
% Positivity Rate = 7.86% in Cass and 7.76% across the state
The hospitalization rate continues to be high across the state.
Our 14-day case rate per 10,000 people in Cass County is 74.5.

Our current numbers as of 8AM on 10/12/20 are as follows:
Positive COVID Test Result: 30 students and staff out
COVID-Related Quarantine: 238 students and staff out
Exhibiting COVID-Related Symptoms: 121 students and staff
For at least the next two weeks, the district will remain in the hybrid instructional model. Based on action taken by the School Board at their October 12 meeting, district administration will be engaging building-level administrators, school leadership teams, and the Return to Learn Advisory Committee to discuss the timeline and strategies for returning students to additional days of onsite instruction.
