Weekly Risk Level Status Check: Week of September 14

The district’s executive leadership team, School Board President, and lead school nurse are meeting weekly with representatives from Fargo Cass Public Health and Essentia Health to discuss COVID-19 data and trends specific to Cass County. This information will be used to make any warranted adjustments to the district’s learning model and safety protocols.

Data from FCPH

  • 14-Day Rolling Average of New Cases = 54.36/day in Cass County; 287.57/day across the state
  • % Positivity Rate = 5.82% in Cass and 5.65% across the state
  • The hospitalization rate is holding steady
  • Our 14-day case rate per 10,000 people in Cass County is 41.92

Data from NDDoH

The North Dakota Department of Health has refreshed their COVID-19 data dashboard. This new version includes county-level breakdowns, as well as additional statewide data.

Data from WFPS (current as of 5:00PM on 9/14/20)

  • Positive COVID Test Result: 16 students and staff out
  • COVID-Related Quarantine: 178 students and staff out
  • The quarantine numbers are comprehensive of exposures at school, outside of school, and at childcare centers.
  • Exhibiting COVID-Related Symptoms: 51 students and staff

Based on this information, there are no proposed adjustments and the district’s status will remain as green hybrid.
