Freedom Elementary Team Qualifies for World LEGO Competition

West Fargo, ND – (March 7, 2024) – The team named Digital Artists from Freedom Elementary have received the Champion’s Award at the North Dakota FIRST LEGO League State Championship held at the University of North Dakota. The Champion’s Award is awarded to the top team overall in the state. The Digital Artists will be competing in Houston, Texas April 17-20, 2024, at the FIRST LEGO League Competition against almost 200 teams from around the world. This is the first time a West Fargo Team has participated in this competition.

Freedom had multiple teams participate in the local competition at North Dakota State University as well as the state level competition at UND. Awards have been earned in Robot Game, Project Presentation, Robot Design, and Core Values. In 2024, all 3 teams achieved success at both the local and state competitions.

Hosted by FIRST®, FIRST Championship is a culminating, international event for our youth robotics competition season and an annual celebration of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) for our community as we prepare young people for the future. Qualification and advancement to participate in FIRST Championship varies by program.
