Community High School Counselor Awarded North Dakota Secondary School Counselor of the Year

West Fargo, ND – (February 9th, 2024) – The North Dakota School Counselor Association has selected West Fargo Community High School & Alternative Middle School Counselor Chris Potter as the recipient of the North Dakota Secondary School Counselor of the Year Award. Potter was one of about 20 counselors across the state that were nominated.

Applicants are scored by NDSCA members that serve as judges and award points based on answers to questions regarding the American School Counselor Association National Model, leadership roles, advocacy, goals and use of data in counseling. Potter will be presented with the ND School Counselor of the Year award on February 12th at the NDSCA Mid-Winter Conference. By receiving this award, Potter qualifies to be nominated to the American School Counselor Association for the chance to win the national award.
