West Fargo Public Schools Hires Behavior Specialist
West Fargo, ND – (July 8, 2021) – It is with great pleasure that Mrs. Beth Slette, Superintendent, and Mrs. Rachael Kjonaas, Director of Special Education, announce Ms. Teresa Ekren has accepted a position as a behavior specialist with West Fargo Public Schools.
Ekren began her career in the behavioral health industry in 2014 as a behavior technician for the North Dakota Autism Center. In 2019, she accepted a position with Pediatric Partners as a licensed board certified behavior analyst.
Ekren holds a master’s degree in psychology from Capella University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Minnesota State University Moorhead. In addition, she is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst®, which indicates she has a graduate-level certification in behavior analysis.
After interviewing and subsequently selecting Ms. Ekren, Mrs. Kjonaas said, “In a field that is in such high demand as behavioral health, we are incredibly fortunate to be able to add such a quality professional to our team. Ms. Ekren’s expertise in behavioral coaching and the foundations and applications of applied behavior analysis are sure to have a positive impact on student success and wellbeing at West Fargo Public Schools.”
Ms. Ekren will immediately assume her new role with the district.
