Camacho Receives District's Professional/Licensed Staff of the Year Award
West Fargo, ND – (March 30, 2021) – Surrounded by colleagues, friends, and family at a surprise ceremony this afternoon, a West Fargo Public Schools’ reading teacher was honored with the district’s prestigious staff award. Jessica Camacho, a reading teacher at Deer Creek Elementary School, was awarded the 2021 – 2022 Professional/Licensed Staff of the Year Award.
Mrs. Camacho came to West Fargo Public Schools in 2000 as a first-grade teacher at L.E. Berger Elementary School. In her more than two decades with the district, she has taught first, second, and third grades at L.E. Berger Elementary School and has been a reading teacher at L.E. Berger Elementary School and Deer Creek Elementary School.
As this year’s award winner, Mrs. Camacho was described in her nomination as an educator who “always brings great ideas to the table and builds great relationships with students, staff, and families. She finds ways to build her students up, while showing dedication and care for their growth; her students adore her!”
As the Professional/Licensed Staff of the Year honoree, Mrs. Camacho receives a crystal apple, flowers, a gift from the district and the School Board, and a $500 check from the West Fargo Educational Foundation.
