West Fargo, ND – (May 10th, 2023) – It is with great pleasure that Mr. Vincent Williams, Secondary Assistant Superintendent, and Ms. Amber Rudolph, Principal at Cheney Middle School, announce that Mr. Andrew Eben and Dr. Andrea Fox have accepted positions as Assistant Principals at Cheney Middle School.

Mr. Eben has 10 years of experience in public education and has been the Dean of Students at Cheney Middle School for the past two years. During his time as Dean of Students, Eben has also served as the building’s Title IX Coordinator and the Lead Administrator for the WFPS K-12 Virtual Program. Additionally, he has two years of high school track and field coaching experience and eight years of experience at the middle level coaching boys’ and girls’ basketball, football, and track and field. Prior to joining WFPS in 2021, he taught middle school math for Fargo Public Schools. Eben has a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Minnesota State University Moorhead and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and secondary education from the University of Sioux Falls. 

Dr. Fox has 18 years of experience in public education, all with WFPS. During her time with the district, Dr. Fox has served as an English Language Arts Teacher and as a Technology Integration Specialist. She is currently serving as the Vice Chair of the North Dakota Educational Standards and Practices Board since 2018, the Vice President of the North Dakota State Teachers of the Year Chapter since its founding in 2019, and on the Cheney Middle School Leadership Team. Fox has a doctorate of education from Walden University, a master’s degree in instructional design and technology from the University of North Dakota, and a bachelor’s degree in secondary English education from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

His fair and consistent approach, coupled with his approachability and strong work ethic, will serve Cheney Middle School learners and activity participants well,” stated Rudolph. “Dr. Fox’s passion for literacy and experience with technology integration will be advantageous for Cheney Middle School.  In addition, her thorough work at the state level will help building level leadership make systematically sound decisions.  As a former ND Teacher of the Year, Dr. Fox has developed a strong instructional skillset that she will undoubtedly share with teachers through this leadership role."

Both Eben and Fox will assume their new roles on July 1st, 2023.
