Linback to Attend Junior National Young Leaders Conference

Liberty Middle School student Lennon Linback has been selected to participate in the Junior National Young Leaders Conference, a unique academic and career-oriented development experience that she was nominated for by her seventh-grade language arts teacher, Mr. Adam Miler-Arnold.

Miss Linback participates in student council, chamber orchestra, choir, and theater. She is also passionate about sports, playing volleyball and basketball for the Liberty Mustangs and soccer for a local independent team. With many interests that include science, history, social studies, and coaching, Lennon is looking forward to gaining the hands-on leadership experience that this conference provides.

“As an alumna of Envision myself, I am excited for Lennon to meet, work, and collaborate with other high-aspiring students from across the country,” said Amanda Freitag Thomas, SVP for Envision, the sponsoring agency. “Hands down, my favorite part of attending an Envision program was being with motivated students in an environment designed to help us challenge our assumptions, meet new people, and grow. Creating that same learning environment is a central focus for all of our programs. At JrNYLC, students build the confidence and skills needed to excel in high school, college, and the workplace. They learn how to adapt to and communicate in new situations, to new challenges, and with new people, which, given how rapidly the world is changing due to technology and innovation, are essential skills for success.”

Lennon will be in Washington, DC, from July 16-21.
