Wilson Named Assistant Principal of West Fargo High School

West Fargo, ND – (April 28, 2022) – It is with great pleasure that Mr. Vince Williams, Secondary Assistant Superintendent, and Ms. Rachel Bachmeier, incoming principal for West Fargo High School, announce Mr. Rick Wilson has accepted the position as assistant principal for West Fargo High School.

Mr. Wilson began his career in education in 2008 as a high school math teacher at Princeton High School in Princeton, Minnesota. From 2010 – 2020, he was a math teacher at West Fargo High School before accepting the position as the dean of students at Sheyenne High School. For the past academic year, he has also served as the principal for the district’s virtual education program in addition to his role as dean of students.

Mr. Wilson holds a bachelor's degree in in mathematics education and a master’s degree in education, both from North Dakota State University.

After interviewing and subsequently selecting Mr. Wilson from a pool of highly qualified candidates, Ms. Bachmeier said, “As a dean of students, Mr. Wilson has fostered an environment of open communication and support with learners and educators alike. He is passionate about the vision we have for the future of West Fargo Public Schools and West Fargo High School, and his extensive classroom teaching experience and analytical skills will be invaluable assets as we move forward. We are thrilled to welcome him back to West Fargo High School and the Packer community.”

Mr. Wilson will assume his new position at West Fargo High School on July 1, following Ms. Bachmeier’s transition from assistant principal to principal.
