Hannasch Named Behavioral Health & Wellness Coordinator

West Fargo, ND – (April 26, 2024) – It is with great pleasure that Ms. Annie Richards, Director of Behavioral Health & Wellness, announces that Mr. Ben Hannasch has accepted the position of Behavioral Health & Wellness Coordinator for West Fargo Public Schools.  

Hannasch began working with Richland School District in 2014 as a social studies teacher and librarian, before moving to Northern Cass School District in 2018. There, he served as a social studies teacher and technology integrationist, until he took over as a secondary principal at Montpelier Public Schools in 2020. Most recently, Hannasch has served as an assistant principal for Lake Park Audubon School District. He holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from North Dakota State University and a bachelor’s degree in social studies education with a political science minor from the University of North Dakota.

After interviewing and subsequently selecting Mr. Hannasch, Ms. Richards stated, "Mr. Hannasch brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of innovation to our team as the new BH&W Coordinator. With a keen focus on supporting educators and incorporating best practices like social-emotional learning and restorative practices, his data-driven approach ensures results-oriented behavioral health and wellness initiatives. He understands that fostering a supportive environment for learners requires a collaborative effort from all educators. We're excited to welcome him aboard as we continue to prioritize the well-being of our students and staff.”
Hannasch will assume his new role on July 1st, 2024.
