Salisbury Named Principal for Sheyenne High School
West Fargo, ND – (June 7, 2021) – It is with great pleasure that Superintendent Beth Slette and Mr. Vince Williams, incoming secondary assistant superintendent, announce Mr. Ryan Salisbury has accepted the position as the next principal for Sheyenne High School.
Salisbury joined West Fargo Public Schools in 2003 as a special education strategist. He held that role until 2015, when he became a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) coach. Since 2016, he has been an assistant principal at Sheyenne High School.
Salisbury holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Jamestown, a master’s degree in special education from the University of North Dakota, and a specialist degree in educational leadership from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
After interviewing and subsequently selecting Mr. Salisbury from a pool of highly qualified candidates, Mr. Williams said, “In his nearly two decades with West Fargo Public Schools, Mr. Salisbury has developed lasting relationships with students and staff, particularly within the Mustang community. He is a trusted educator, a dependable leader, and an enthusiastic advocate for the needs of all students. He has proven himself to be an invaluable asset to Sheyenne High School, as well as West Fargo Public Schools and the greater community. We are excited to have him serve in his new capacity as principal.”
Mr. Salisbury will assume his new role on July 1, following Mr. William’s transition from principal to secondary assistant superintendent.
