    Yes, school nurses train all staff in the use of Epi-Pens.

    Yes, all district schools are involved in the Epi-Pen program. If the student is known to have severe allergies, however, they are encouraged to bring their own.

    Yes, this is something that is done at the elementary level now and can be done at Deer Creek Elementary School.

    We are currently working on a schedule for all students at Deer Creek Elementary School for the 2019-2020 school year. Once we have the schedule finalized, we will communicate what the menus will look like and if there will be additional options for sixth graders. We do not serve any peanuts or nuts during lunch at our elementary schools.

  • Will the student menu options be the same (second servings, pizza Fridays, etc.)? Will students have access to breakfast in the morning?

    Breakfast will be available and we will work with the Food Service Department to determine the other options like pizza Friday. Sixth grade students will be able to go through the line for second servings, if needed.

  • Will the parents in the new school attendance area have an opportunity to vote on school colors and mascots?

    The School Board has final authority on determining school colors and mascot. However, the transition advisory committee will develop a plan and process to collect feedback from the broader community of stakeholders within the boundaries.

    Yes, the transition committee meetings are open to the public. However, discussions, planning, and voting will be limited to committee members. Meeting minutes will be posted on the district website.

    Liberty Middle School sends out communication to parents/guardians regarding upcoming transition activities. Additional information will be posted on the district website regarding building progressions, and the transition plans for the new middle school and high school.
