Mrs. Leah Newton

Leah Newton is from Starbuck, Minnesota and graduated from Minnewaska Area High School in Glenwood, Minnesota.  She attended MSUM and played college volleyball for four years.  Leah holds a degree in Psychology, Criminal Justice, and Social Studies. 

Coach Newton has 15+ years of coaching experience at a variety of levels in volleyball, basketball, and track.  Prior to moving to West Fargo to take a coaching and teaching position at Sheyenne high, Coach Newton was the head coach at Los Lunas High School in New Mexico.  In the two years that she was there, she led the Tigers to a 38-5 record. The Tigers took home two district titles and made two appearances in the state tournament.  Coach Newton also earned District Coach of the Year honors in both of her years at Los Lunas High.
