  • SHS Speech & Debate Student Earns Prestigious Award

    WEST FARGO, ND – (September 3, 2021) – Sheyenne High School’s Sherry Yan has earned the prestigious Academic All-American Award through her involvement in the National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA). NSDA Executive Director J. Scott Wunn adds, “This coveted award recognizes academic rigor, competitive success, and personal excellence.”

    West Fargo, ND – (September 3, 2021) – West Fargo Public Schools is looking for participants to serve on a strategic planning task force. Participants may be high school students, parents/guardians, staff members, community partners, or other stakeholders who are willing to share their time, perspectives, experiences, and expertise with others with the focus of ensuring the district’s strategic plan reflects what we want our students to know and be able to do upon graduating from West Fargo Public Schools.

We are on the brink of what is going to be an amazing year of learning, growing, and building relationships. Today’s communication to families and staff is to make you aware that the district is moving from “masks optional” to “masks recommended for those unvaccinated” for the 2021-22 school year. We also hope that this message helps our families and staff to understand the “why” behind this decision, regardless of your opinion on masks.

The newly formatted district staff recognition party honors the 2021-2022 Staff of the Year Award winners, state-level educator of the year awards, Apple Teachers, 2020-2021 retirees, and those meeting a significant milestone for years of service to West Fargo Public Schools.
