The Freedom PTA

  • Welcome to the Freedom Elementary School PTA! Here you will learn about all of the wonderful things parents and teachers do to enrich the educational experiences of the children at Freedom Elementary School.

    What is the PTA?
We are a local Parent Teacher Association that is organized by interested parents and teachers. It is a PTA organized under the authority of North Dakota Congress of Parents and Teachers (NDPTA), a branch of National Congress of Parents and Teachers (National PTA).  The Freedom Elementary School PTA has bylaws that govern the operation and five officers that ensure things run smoothly.

    Our Mission

    • To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship,
    • To raise the standards of home life,
    • To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth,
    • To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth
    • To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education

Join us at our next meeting! All parents and teachers are welcome to attend the PTA meetings. Each meeting is held on the second Monday or Tuesday of each month at 6:30PM in the school media center. Childcare is provided during meetings.

  • Monday Night February 25 we are hosting a Skate City party from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  Don’t know how to skate, stop in at 5:30 pm for a free Learn to Skate class.   See attached flyer for more information  We look forward to seeing everyone there!

As spring rolls around it is time to clean out those cupboards once again and send in those Box Tops.  We will be collecting Box Tops from now until February 27th.  The classroom from each grade with the most Box Tops received will earn a Popcorn party.  We will be coming around the classrooms to collect them throughout the next week.  I’ve attached a flyer and a collection sheet if they want to use it, or a sandwich baggie with the teacher’s name on it will work just fine.

The Freedom PTA is so excited to announce an upcoming Steam Night for families.  We have partners with the Science museum in Bismarck to provide us hands-on Science fun on March 26th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.  Please help us share this flyer to get the word out about this fun event.
