Career Center

  • The Career Center is a resource for students and parents. Students have an opportunity to learn about their interests, career possibilities, and strategies to reach their career goals. Each high school has a Career Center that is staffed by a Career Education Coordinator. The Career Education Coordinator collaborates with the high school counselors to provide career guidance to students.

    Service Learning Experiences
West Fargo High School and Sheyenne High School students can earn credit through educational opportunities that happen beyond the typical classroom setting. The three service learning options at each building include in-school service, JET service, and out-of-school service.

    Job Shadowing
The Career Center offers job shadow experiences for students in 9-12th grade. Through this experience, students can spend a few hours with a professional in a career of interest to gain first-hand information about the occupation and necessary post-secondary training.

Students are required to complete an application form and a job shadow packet as part of their experience. In addition, they are responsible for completing school assignments prior to the experience. Please note that not all job shadow requests can be arranged due to employer confidentiality and liability issues.
