Regulations for Transporting Learners
ALL TRANSPORTATION INVOLVING STUDENTS NEEDS TO BE SCHEDULED THROUGH THE TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT....NO EXCEPTIONS!
The transportation of students, regardless of vehicle type needed, must be scheduled through the Transportation Department. To do so, contact Stephanie Redmond by calling (701) 356-2120. Scheduling transportation for an activity on your own is NOT allowed and could result in personal responsibility for fees and insurance incurred for what you scheduled.
PASSENGER VEHICLES
Eight-passenger or less vehicles may be rented to transport students. The rental of 9 + passenger vehicles to transport learners is prohibited per DOT regulations and can result in fines up to $15,000 if caught.
FIELD TRIPS
The Transportation Department can only accommodate trips within certain timeframes. For in-town trips, departure from the school cannot occur prior to 9:00 AM and students must be leaving the trip location no later than 1:30 PM.
If your field trip is to an out-of-town destination, please speak with Stephanie Redmond about possibilities.
