The Public Relations Department will be the district liaison with the public news media, often with the Superintendent serving as the spokesperson. All contacts and releases concerning district policies and regulations, matters of district-wide interest, or potentially controversial topics will be handled or cleared by the Public Relations Department. The goal of the Public Relations Department is to always provide the media with the best content expert available to speak on the matter at hand.

Congratulations to the Marketing Education program at West Fargo High School for receiving the CTE Director’s Award of Excellence! The award is an acknowledgment of superior career and technical education programs in North Dakota.
Special Olympics North Dakota has announced that West Fargo High School is receiving national banner recognition for its efforts to provide inclusive sports and activities for learners with and without intellectual disabilities. West Fargo High School is the first K-12 school in North Dakota to receive this honor.
Eight West Fargo High School seniors earned the AP Capstone Diploma: Brooklyn Anderson, Taylor Christians, Grady Gronos, Jama Jama, Siena Newland, Makayla Raube, Aiden Shultz, and Aneesh Vegi.
To earn the AP Capstone Diploma, learners must have scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar and AP Research and on four additional AP Exams of their choosing.
Mr. Daniel Mykleseth has accepted the position as Director of Accounting for West Fargo Public Schools.
Mykleseth has over six years of experience in financial statement audits for private, governmental, non-profit, and social service-related entities. He spent the first three years of his career as an Associate for two different firms before joining Catholic Charities North Dakota as their Director of Finance in 2021.
West Fargo Public Schools is excited to welcome 13,262 learners for the 2024-25 school year. This is an increase of 282 learners over our first day enrollment last year.
