SUN Meals and SUN Bucks

About 30 million children participate in USDA’s school breakfast and lunch programs on an average school day. When school is out for the summer, kids lose access to these healthy meals, but they still need nutritious food to grow healthy and strong.

WFPS offers summer nutrition options to help our children reach their full potential.

West Fargo Public Schools 2025 summer free meal sites for children:

  • Willow Park Elementary - Breakfast and Lunch - May 27 to June 19, Monday-Thursday only. Serving times to be determined.
  • LE Berger Elementary - Breakfast and Lunch - May 27 to June 19, Monday-Thursday only. Serving times to be determined.
  • West Fargo High School - Breakfast and Lunch - June 2 to June 27, Monday-Friday. Serving times to be determined.

With SUN Meals, kids 18 and under can get free meals and snacks at schools, parks, and other group meal locations. In some rural areas, SUN Meals To-Go can be picked up or delivered.

North Dakota also offers SUN Bucks, a summer grocery benefit that provides eligible school-aged children $120, so you can stretch your grocery budget and buy more of the foods your children love! SUN Bucks is designed to work together with other benefits your family may already get, like SNAP and WIC, and your children can still enjoy free SUN Meals at local meal sites, too. NDHHS will issue Summer EBT cards in the same manner as EBT cards are issued for SNAP. Summer EBT cards are mailed to each eligible child and must be used within 122 days of issuance. For Customer Service email ndsebt@nd.gov or call 701-328-2332 (option 2 for SNAP and then option 4 for “Questions on your SNAP EBT Card”. More information about SUN Bucks can be found here: Food Programs | North Dakota Department of Public Instruction
