ESSER III Applications

West Fargo Public Schools complied with the virtual instruction mandate for the final three months of the 2019-2020 school year. In 2020-2021, instruction began in a hybrid model, with some learners learning onsite and others learning from home to help ensure social distancing. Full, onsite instruction was renewed during the school year, at different times depending on the level of instruction. In the 2021-2022 school year, regular instructional schedules were put in place despite the severe workforce shortage facing the district.

Under the direction of Fargo Cass Public Health, WFPS is currently treating COVID-19 as a communicable disease and providing fulltime, onsite learning for learners and will continue to do so.

The district offers opportunities for community feedback on the use of ESSER funds through a variety of means: school board hearings, task forces, and school listening sessions. The most recent community stakeholder opportunity was September 9, 2024.
