What do reflection and goal setting look like in a personalized learning environment?

Learners develop academic and Profile of a Graduate goals, action steps, monitor their growth, and demonstrate responsibility for the associated learning. Learners determine, and advocate for, their needs and engage in reflective practices. Both educators and learners engage in conferencing.

We believe in providing learners with resources, supports, and spaces that empower them to determine appropriate learning pathways and drive their progress within a given timeframe.

What do pathways and pacing look like in a personalized learning environment?

The format is specific to each discipline. The learning process is varied, with topic choices and creativity encouraged. Learners are offered flexibility in their grouping and work locations. Both differentiation and extension opportunities are embedded into learning, with support available to learners in various ways.

We will achieve this goal through learner-center environments, capstones, portfolios, career exploration, and work experiences.

We will measure success through North Dakota Choice Ready, learner data (internal and standardized assessments), professional development, learner surveys, and interviews.
