What does a guaranteed and viable curriculum (GVC) look like in a personalized learning environment?

The focus is on critical thinking and purposeful content, with the district's Profile of a Graduate dispositions embedded. A progression of learning is utilized, with learners actively (80%) engaged in learning. Instruction and resources are culturally responsive and the level of Bloom's Taxonomy is appropriate.

We believe in timely, actionable, and relevant feedback in all aspects of education; empowering learners to determine and act on their next steps with guidance and support to move them to independence.

What do assessment and feedback look like in a personalized learning environment?

Assessments are learner-centered and aligned to learning targets. A variety of formative assessments and performance tasks are utilized. Learners communicate their progress and next steps and learner conferences are evident. Feedback is timely, actionable, and relevant.

We will achieve this goal through our guaranteed and viable curriculum, and learner-centered environments. 

We will measure success through learner data (internal and standardized assessments), professional development, learner surveys, and interviews.
