Shelby Gorze, M.S

Hawks Feeder System

Shelby received her undergraduate degree in Sociology and Childhood and Special Education from Le Moyne College and her Master’s in Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis from Capella University. Her goal is to take and pass the BCBA exam to continue supporting students of all abilities. Prior to working in the school setting, Shelby worked in clinic settings providing individualized support to learners. She is passionate about supporting both learners and educators to help them succeed.

Alexis Olerud, M.Ed

Packer Feeder System

Prior to this role, Lexi was a special education teacher at Independence Elementary for three years. Before that, she worked for Moorhead Public Schools as a preschool teacher. Lexi received her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education and her master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Lexi is currently pursuing a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis at Florida Tech.

Jacob Kienzle

Hawks Feeder System

Mr. Kienzle works as a Social Emotional Behavioral Facilitator. Primarily, his work revolves around creating systems to support students and teachers between Heritage Middle School and Horace High School. Utilizing the MTSS structure, the work includes organizing teams, managing referrals, and coordinating SEL opportunities for students 6th - 12th grade.  Mr. Kienzle has facilitates a Circle culture at both schools.  This looks like students and staff discussing a variety of topics in Circle formats.  Lastly, Mr. Kienzle is a restorative practice facilitator focused on repairing and strengthening relationships at both buildings.

Carlene Gustafson, M.Ed

Mustang Feeder System

Carlene earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from Moorhead State University Moorhead and her Masters of Education from the University of Jamestown in Curriculum and Instruction. Throughout her 32 years of experience, Carlene has served as a Special Education Teacher, a Special Education Building Coordinator, and an MTSS Coach across grades K-12 in Minnesota, Maryland, Michigan, and North Dakota, supporting learners’ academic growth, social-emotional well-being, and behavioral dispositions. She is passionate about building and supporting building-wide systems and best practices to support learner and educator success. She has been trained in CHAMPS, Trauma Sensitive Schools, Restorative Practices, the Nurtured Heart Approach, and BARR. Outside of school, Carlene enjoys participating in many activities with her family, including reading, cooking, traveling, and sporting events.

Jacob Snyder, M.Ed

Packer Feeder System

Snyder graduated from the University of North Dakota with a BA in Secondary English Education with a minor in Middle School. Additionally, Snyder earned his M.Ed. from the University of Jamestown. Over the last 10 years, he has worked in many capacities serving youth in the FM area. Among other things, his experience includes youth non-profit work, special education paraprofessional, secondary ELA teacher, coach, and restorative practice leader. Currently, his work revolves around creating systems to support students and teachers between Cheney Middle School and West Fargo High School. Utilizing the MTSS structure, the work includes organizing teams, managing referrals, and coordinating SEL opportunities for students 6th - 12th grade.
