Mitchell Smette grew up in Granville, North Dakota, where he was a multi-sport athlete and involved in One-Act, Choir, Student Council, and various other groups. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English Education from the University of Mary in Bismarck and his master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Jamestown.

Mr. Smette teaches Senior English and iLit and has coached Student Congress, Debate, and 9^th Grade Boys’ Basketball here at West Fargo High, as well. He lives in Fargo with his wife, Jessie, who is a school librarian at Northern Cass.
