Mr. Matt Slocomb
Mr. Matt Slocomb is in his 18th year teaching in West Fargo. He has taught World Geography, World History, Western Civilization, Philosophy and Ethics, Advanced Psychology and Advanced Sociology. Mr. Slocomb is from Beach, ND where he participated in several activities, including football, wrestling, baseball, band and FFA. He graduated from North Dakota State University with his undergraduate degrees in 2003, majoring in Social Science Education and Sociology. After teaching for a few years, he received his Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from St. Catherine University (2008), and later earned his Specialist in Educational Leadership from NDSU (2018). Mr. Slocomb has taught in the School of Education as an adjunct professor at NDSU several times and worked with dozens of college practicum students. In 2019, he attained National Board Certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. In addition to teaching, Mr. Slocomb advises Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), announces the varsity football games and wrestling duals, is a varsity strength and conditioning coach, and previously coached football and wrestling. Personally, he is interested in physical fitness, theology, softball, and technology. Mr. Slocomb, his wife and 3 children live in West Fargo.
