WFPSchools Scoop

  • Weekly Risk Level Status Check: Week of August 3

The district’s executive leadership team and lead school nurse are meeting weekly with representatives from Fargo Cass Public Health and Essentia Health to discuss COVID-19 data and trends specific to Cass County. This information will be shared with our families and staff each week and used to make any warranted adjustments to the district’s learning model and safety protocols.

To do that, we needed to know from staff and families alike, “How did we do with distance learning?”

  • Mental Health Month

While one in five people will experience a mental illness during their lifetime, everyone faces challenges in life that can impact their mental health. The good news is there are practical tools that everyone can use to improve their mental health and increase resiliency - and there are ways that everyone can be supportive of friends, family, and co-workers who are struggling with life’s challenges or their mental health.

  • Embracing the Opportunity to Innovate

History has proven that innovations are born out of necessity, and often in the time of crisis. It makes me think of the old saying, “don’t let a good crisis go to waste,” and WFPS has certainly not been wasting this time apart from our students!
