Eastwood Elementary School

  • Eastwood Elementary School provides an age-appropriate curriculum for literacy, math, science, and social studies. Students participate in physical education, music, art, and library on a regular basis. The school follows the West Fargo Elementary Behavior Plan, which introduces social skills and expectations, as well as implementing a building-wide positive reinforcement behavior plan.

    BUILDING HISTORY

    Eastwood Elementary School was built in 1973. It has received three separate additions (1983, 2002, 2003) and is currently receiving its fourth addition as part of the 2018 bond referendum. The building occupies an 8.1-acre site in northern West Fargo and has a preferred capacity of 528 and a maximum capacity of 576.

    Eastwood Elementary School is home to the Eastwood Eagles. The school belongs to the Packer feeder-system; students move on to Cheney Middle School and West Fargo High School.

    The building’s principals have included: Edsel Kercher (1973 - 2002), Jeffry Johnson (2002 - 2012), Paula Henry (2012 - 2019), Tabatha Joyce (2019 - 2023), Tom Gruchow (2023-Present).
