Ka'Majah Wright
Ka'Majah Wright has been named Community High School Student of the Month for May. This is Ka”Majah’s first year at Community High School. He likes Community High because of the discipline and it makes you want to work hard to avoid strikes and stay in school. After graduation, Ka’Majah is looking to go to a trade school and work on becoming a therapist for students that struggle with PTSD, like he does. When Ka’Majah is not at school he works and hangs out with his little brothers and friends. Cameron Walker
Cameron Walker has been named Community High School Student of the Month for March. This is Cameron’s first year at Community High School and will be graduating end of April. After graduation, Cameron plans on doing an apprenticeship at Valley Bus as a diesel mechanic. Cameron said, “The best thing about Community is that it is flexible, and students can earn flex time and pink passes to take days off or extend deadlines, which is all determined by how hard they work. Cameron wants to thank the Community High staff for supporting him and getting him to graduation. Kylie Gregg
Kylie Gregg has been named Community High School Student of the Month for January. Kylie likes Community because she can work at her own pace. If she has questions she is not afraid to ask the teacher because it is much easier in the small learning environment that Community High provides. Kylie plans to graduate in March and after graduation will be returning to her job. She will work until college in the fall and plans on attending M-State. In her free time, she likes to talk to friends and dance. Kylie has two brothers one older and one younger. Miranda Garcia
Miranda Garcia has been named Community High School Student of the Month for November. She chose Community High because the discipline is very crucial to help her finish high school and there are not many distractions here. The structure of Community High is also important because “it will keep me on track before I have my baby”. Community High is an eye opener and gives you a wider view of how life will be after school and teachers help with planning for after high school. Besides being a soon to be mom, Miranda will either join the workforce or plan for college after graduation. Caitlyn Doll
Caitlyn Doll has been named Community High School Student of the Month for September. This is Caitlyn’s first year at Community High School. She wanted to attend here because it’s a smaller learning environment. She likes working at her own pace, doing it on her own and having teachers helping and answering questions. Caitlyn is trying to graduate as fast as possible. After graduation, Caitlyn plans to work for a year and then go to cosmetology school. In her free time, Caitlyn hangs out with friends and family and works a lot. Lauryn Ripplinger
Lauren Ripplinger has been named Community High School Student of the Month for April. Lauren came to Community High because she needed to earn more credits. She loves Community High because of its flexibility, and everyone is very understanding. Lauren plans to take a gap year and then begin training in forensics. In her free time, Lauren likes to play her bass guitar and video games. Karsten Wedell
Karsten Wedell has been named Community High School Student of the Month for February. Karsten chose Community to make her parents proud and graduate. When not at school, she works at Five Below. She runs the school store any chance she gets and she is also in Student Leadership. After graduation, Karsten plans to take a gap year and then go to culinary school in Tallahassee, Florida. She says the best thing about Community is the support you get from the teachers and how the system keeps you accountable. Brennan Ziegler
Brennan Ziegler has been named Community High School Student of the Month for December. This is Brennan’s first year at Community High School. He transferred to Community to recover credits. Brennan likes it here because you can work at your own pace. He feels one downside is that you do have to meet end dates. After graduation, Brennan plans to enter the workforce doing some type of hands-on occupation. When he is not in school, Brennon likes to play video games. Brennan is hoping to graduate in May. Lyla Mayer
Lyla Mayer has been named Community High School Student of the Month for October. Lyla is very involved in Student Leadership and Philanthropy and Youth here at Community High School. She chose Community so she could graduate early and get started on her life plans. When not at school, Lyla works at the YMCA after-school program. Lyla plans to graduate in early February and will be entering the work force.
