MORNING ARRIVAL

The early riser room with Mrs. Pederson is located in the gym for those families who need to drop off students prior to all staff reporting for the day. Drop off opens at 7:20AM and students must be in attendance by 7:35AM; students may enter through the gym doors.

When busses are present, students must be dropped off in the parking lot to the west of the crosswalk. Once busses have departed, students may be dropped off in the bus loop. Students are to remain in the vehicle until all busses have exited the bus loop.

Depending on the morning’s weather, students are directed to the playground or the gym. While in the gymnasium, students are grouped by class cohort and are welcome to read, eat breakfast, or use a school approved app on their I-Pad. Students do not participate in physical activity while in the gym prior to the start of the school day.

AFTERNOON DISMISSAL

Harwood Elementary School currently utilizes a staggered dismissal schedule. Students begin dismissal procedures at 2:35PM, with bus students excused first, followed by family pick up students, and YMCA students.
