Ben Berogan

Ben is currently the Head Wrestling Coach at West Fargo High School. He lives in West Fargo and is married to Heidi Berogan. Together they have 4 children, Ivy, Brynn, Ian, and Lir. Ben also has a grandson named Walker!

Ben wrestled in high school at Bismarck High School. He continued his wrestling career at the University of North Dakota. While competing there, he was an All-American as well as an Academic All-American and graduated from there in 1997.

His coaching career started shortly after his graduation when they moved to Virginia. Ben coached at Brentsville High School in Knokesville, VA. After moving back to Bismarck, he began assistant coaching at the University of Mary and later became Head Wrestling Coach there. When they made the move to Fargo, Ben became an assistant coach at West Fargo High School and later became the Head Wrestling Coach.

Aside from coaching folkstyle wrestling, Ben has coached many other sports including freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, soccer, basketball, baseball, football, and currently Crossfit. Coaching is a passion of his as he truly enjoys helping others grow and achieve their goals.

“I have some accomplishments I’ve earned while competing and truly love helping others achieve what they set out to do. However, what I have learned from coaches that has developed me into who I am today and what I can help others do to develop them as humans is what I feel most rewarded by. The rewards are great, but to me it’s all about the journey.”
