Program Description

  • Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America is the only student organization that focuses on the family.  Students must have taken or be enrolled in a FACS class sometime in their middle or high school career to be a member.

The misson of FCCLA is to promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education.  Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner, and community member, members develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.

FCCLA is the "ultimate leadership experience!"

Mrs. Mary Jo Anderson

Mrs. Anderson teaches Family & Consumer Sciences at Sheyenne High School.  She was an active FHA (what FCCLA used to be) when she was in high school, and is excited to work with today's high school students in FCCLA.  Her favorite part is seeing how students come out of their shells and grow into great leaders.
