Coach Bodell is in his 9th year at Sheyenne High School. He grew up in Minot, ND and graduated from Minot High School. He went on to play baseball at UND and Minot State University as a pitcher and a first baseman, earning a spot on the All-Conference team during his junior season at MSU. He has coached baseball at all different levels and is entering his 22nd season as a baseball coach, his fourth as Sheyenne's head coach. He has helped guide Sheyenne to a 2nd place finish at the 2016 State Tournament, the EDC Championship in 2019 and 2022, the state tournament two out of the last three years, and state championships in 2021, 2022, and 2023!

Coach Bodell married Alexandria in 2014 and has two boys, Harvey and Theodore. He previously taught and coached at Beulah High School for five years, where he helped coach the Miners to the 2012 State Baseball Championship.
