The choirs at West Fargo High School are selling the Preferred Coupon Books again this year. The cost is $20.00. If you'd like to look one over, and are unable to find a choir member in your area, you can stop by Mr. Mueller's office in the High School music wing any time. Among the usual places, the book also includes coupons for: Grazies, Green Mill, Northtown Grill, Basie’s on 42nd Street, Grizzly's, Red Bear, Ground Round, Timberlodge Steak House, Thunder Road, All Occasions Limousine, Sears, JCPenny, Herberger's, sports events at all three local colleges, Buffalo Wild Wings and Krispy Kreme. |
| Mark Berntson |

Mr. Berntson serves as Vice-President of the North Dakota Education Association. He is the former president of the West Fargo Education Association, the Beulah Education Association, and the North Dakota National Band Association. He is the co-founder of the NDNBA Junior High All-State Band Festival, and was the chair of the North Dakota Music Educators Association All-State Festival Committee for thirteen years. Mark performs in the Lake Agassiz Concert Band and the Jazz Incorporated Big Band, and has also been a performing member of the Greater Grand Forks Symphony and the Bismarck/Mandan Symphony. Mark has been awarded the Allegro Band Award by the North Dakota National Band Association, the Golden Torch Award by the West Fargo Education Association, and the 2009 Outstanding Educational Leadership Award by the North Dakota Education Association. Mr. Berntson is proud to be an active uncle to three nieces and a nephew, and a mentor in the Big Brother/Big Sister program. |

Mr. Mueller has performed on many occasions with the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Chorus and as a member of the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber Chorale. He has done solo work with local colleges and churches, and many vocal music ensembles in the F-M area. His choirs sing at numerous community events every year and have performed at several state music educator's conventions. He serves as an adjudicator for regional and state music contests and was honored as the 1997-98 NDMEA North Dakota Music Educator of the Year. Mr. Mueller and his wife, Susan, have four children, Benjamin, Sarah, John and David. |

Mrs. Klundt is the Organizing Chair for North Dakota Music Educators Association All State Orchestra, Past President of the North Dakota Chapter of the American String Teachers Association/National String Orchestra Association, North Central Accreditation Co-Chair for West Fargo High School, and a Board Member of Kid Core. Heather currently performs with the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony, and is a freelance soloist/ensemble player in the community. She has also performed with the Fargo Moorhead Opera, FM String Quartet, and Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra. |

In 2007 Sue moved to the Sheyenne 9th grade center and continued teaching Band and Choir. She was active with the Sheyenne Student Council and the AdvancEd School Accreditation process. Sue is the 2011-2012 West Fargo Teacher of the Year. Sue moved back to WFHS the Fall of 2011 and is the Director of Bands. She is still active with the AdvancEd continuing education process, Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Band, and co-vocal director for WFHS Drama productions. In September of 2011 Sue received the Staff Member of the Month Renaissance Club award. Sue also received the "Kaleidoscope" Award given by WF Superintendent David Flowers in August of 2011. During her years at West Fargo, she was a strong promoter for starting the string program, which became a reality in 1997. Sue was also the WF high school Teacher of the Year in 2005-06 and the Chamber Teacher of the month in March 1999. In her spare time she plays organ/keyboard at her church, teaches piano and voice lessons and is a member of "Viva Marimba," a marimba choir based out of Concordia College. In the summer she is a member of the Mainstage Musical Pit Orchestra and teaches the musical portion of Totally Trollwood at the Trollwood Performing Arts School in Moorhead. She is a member of the music groups MENC, NDNBA and SAI. |


Heather Klundt has been the Director of Orchestra at West Fargo High School since the fall of 1997. She had the distinct honor of establishing the orchestra program in West Fargo. Her career started in Bismarck, North Dakota in 1994. She has also taught in the Fargo Public and Private School Systems as well as Moorhead Public Schools. Mrs. Klundt has taught private lessons since 1988. She received her Bachelors degree from Moorhead State University in 1994.
Sue Jordahl has been a music teacher with the West Fargo School system since the Fall of 1985. She taught Elementary Band and Music until moving to the high school the fall of 1997. Sue earned her Bachelor and Master's degrees from North Dakota State University.
