West Fargo High School

Joe Bailey has been the head cross country coach at West Fargo since 2001.  He was the assistant cross country coach at WFHS during the 2000 season.  Joe was selected North Dakota Girls Cross Country Coach of the Year in 2007 and EDC Girls Cross Country Coach of the Year in 2008.

Prior to coming to West Fargo, Joe was the head cross country coach at Grand Forks Red River High School from 1994-1999.  He was selected EDC Boys Cross Country Coach of the Year in 1999.  Joe was an assistant boys track coach at RRHS from 1993-1999, the head track coach at Dickinson Trinity High School from 1988-1992, an assistant girls track coach at RRHS from 1986-1988, an assistant track coach at Grand Forks Central High School from 1984-1985 and head cross country coach at GFC from 1984-1985.

            Joe graduated from Bismarck High School in 1979, Bismarck Junior College in 1981 and the University of North Dakota in 1984. He ran cross country and track at Bismarck High School and Bismarck Junior College.  He teaches biology and advanced placement biology at West Fargo High School.  Joe and his wife Susan have four children: Cailin, Madeline, Kyle and Grace.
