West Fargo Community High
Registration
Admission & Registration Information
If you wish to attend West Fargo Community High School, you will need to follow these procedures:
- A student transferring from West Fargo High School to West Fargo Community High School must:
- meet with a guidance counselor at WFHS,
- secure a referral from a WFHS administrator to attend WFCHS,
- completely check out of WFHS (return books, pay fees and fines, etc.) and
- bring a parent or guardian to a conference or orientation with the WFCHS principal before starting classes at WFCHS.
- A student between the ages of 16 and 21 may register directly at West Fargo Community High School under the following provisions:
- The student has been out of school for an extended period of time.
- The student is transferring from another school district and the principal of WFCHS agrees that the setting at WFCHS would better serve the student than the setting at WFHS.
- The student has his or her permanent school records forwarded to Community High School.
- A conference must be attended by the student, a parent or guardian, and the principal of WFCHS. Students who are at least 18 years old and living independently will not be required to bring a parent or guardian to the conference.
- If a student requests to transfer from WFHS to WFCHS and is on an I.E.P. for special education services, an I.E.P. meeting must be held. The I.E.P. team will determine the appropriateness of placement at WFCHS.
- A student's cumulative record file must be received before the student begins classes at WFCHS. A form is available in the office for parents (or students aged 18 or older) to use to request that records be forwarded from the school previously attended.
