Student of the Month
Each Community High School Student of the Month is selected by the faculty on the basis of academic progress, responsibility, study skills, citizenship, and personal growth.
2011-12
February - Tyler Hauschulz
- Tyler Hauschulz has been named Community High School Student of the Month for February. This is Tyler's first year at Community High School. Tyler enjoys playing hockey, bowling, and listening to music. Tyler has a younger sister and a dog named Jazzie. After graduation, Tyler would like to go to Dakota College at Bottineau for criminal justice.
January - Olivia Clennon
- Olivia Clennon has been named Community High School Student of the Month for January. Olivia is a senior and will graduate this spring. Outside of school, Olivia works at the Samurai restaurant in Fargo. After graduation she will plans to pursue a degree in International Studies, possibly at the University of Minnesota. In her free time, Olivia enjoys playing the violin.
December - Jade Senger
- Jade Senger has been named Community High School Student of the Month for December. Jade will be graduating at the beginning of February and says she is glad she decided to come back to school after dropping out a few years ago. After graduation, Jade plans to attend M-State for two years and then N.D.S.U. to earn a degree in English. Jade has two older brothers and two younger sisters. For fun Jade likes to hang out with friends and work out at the gym. She is employed by Target.
November - Kayla Weston
- Kayla Weston has been named Community High School Student of the Month for November. This is Kayla's first year at Community High School, and she will be graduating this spring. Kayla likes the small class sizes and appreciates the one-on-one help she gets from the teachers here. When not going to Community High School, Kayla works at Jimmy Johns. After graduation, Kayla plans on going to Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Moorhead for a degree in nursing.
October - Kathy Ly
- Kathy will be graduating in November and plans to attend the Salon Professional Academy to earn her nail technology license and then will work at her mother's business, Nail Dynasty in Fargo. She also plans to get her cosmetology license to save money to attend N.D.S.U. for an accounting degree. When Kathy is not at Community High School, she helps out her mother at the salon in addition to listening to music and playing on the computer.
