Citizenship Awards
Eastwood Citizenship Award
- In recognition of students exhibiting appropriate social skills, Eastwood will be recognizing students with citizenship awards at our monthly Social Skill Assemblies. Students will have their names read at the assembly, stand for recognition and applause, receive a Citizenship Certificate, and have their name added to our newsletter.
Selection Process:- Monthly, teachers will select children from their classroom.
- Students that are prime candidates for recognition:
- Students demonstrating knowledge of social skills and applying them consistently.
- Students that voluntarily help teachers/or others without being asked.
- This award is for students that have not needed any disciplinary action for that month.
- Students who earn 8 out of 9 monthly Citizenship Award Certificates will earn a Citizenship Pin at the year-end awards program on the last day of school. Work hard each month!
Spectacular Skills Cards
- Spectacular Skills Cards will be used for daily recognition of children who perform good citizenship actions and are demonstrating positive actions. Any staff member may present a student with a Spectacular Skills Card at any time, and the child will place the completed card in the special mailbox by the office. Spectacular Skill Cards will be randomly drawn each Friday and names read over the intercom for special prizes.
