WEST FARGO, ND – (November 25, 2009) – At the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (AAHPERD) Central District Conference and Awards Ceremony on February 6, 2010, one of the district’s teachers will be honored with a very special award.

Chris Kalsow, an Adaptive Physical Education teacher for West Fargo Public Schools, was named Adaptive PE Teacher of the Year for his dedicated work with students with disabilities. Mr. Kalsow has been teaching in the district for six years.

As the recipient of the 2009 North Dakota Adaptive PE Teacher of the Year award, Mr. Kalsow will be a candidate for the AAHPERD Central District Adaptive PE Teacher of the Year award in 2010.

The School Board will recognize Mr. Kalsow at their regularly scheduled meeting at Aurora Elementary School on November 30, 2009.
