The Fargo and West Fargo public school districts passed a joint resolution this week supporting an entrepreneurship program organized by the North Dakota State University Research and Technology Park.

The programs would be aimed at eighth- and ninth-graders in Fargo and West Fargo schools, and could eventually expand to other nearby districts.

In the joint resolution, the two districts said there has been enthusiasm from teachers for the project, which would “enhance the development of a culture of entrepreneurship within our students.”

By the end of the summer, the project’s organizers hope to have developed timetables, curriculum and an exact budget for the program, which likely wouldn’t enter classrooms until fall 2010.
