I would like to thank West Fargo High School for providing a second option to education by allowing students to take early bird classes, and by allowing students to make certain decisions that help them individually learn at a better pace.
I chose to take an early-bird class this semester for many reasons. First, the school hallways are less crowded. Second, it allows me to get out of school earlier so I can start working an hour earlier to make money for further education. The final reason I chose to take an early class was to gain a sense of responsibility. Not everyone can wake up that early and make it through the day. I chose to take on this responsibility by taking an early bird class.
I believe this was a great idea, and it benefits the student body and administration as a whole. Certain students believe taking tougher classes earlier in the day is an advantage to regular school hours.
All in all, West Fargo High School is playing a chess game and by establishing early-bird classes, they have made a great move.
